Buyers have green doubts

Most consumers are wary about products claiming to be "green".

A survey of 4000 people by www.clickgreen.com.au found 80 per cent sought out enviro products, although 70 per cent were sceptical of the marketing.

Founder of the website, Nathan Isterling, said consumers were willing to look deeper at products and services claiming to be green.

The survey also found 55 per cent were either not sure or not willing to pay more money for greener forms of electricity, while 45 per cent said they drove less for environmental reasons.
